... What is it? This pic and the 'suicide' label has been circulating around the web for a while, but I'm interested in what the box actually says and what the toy is used for.

I guess it's a toy that can be used to help people figure out if they are suicide potential. Kind of like a "try before you buy" thing. If the nerf bullets still make you want to do it then....

Who knows??

I tried Google for the Japanese (it's not very Japanese) name but got no results. Entering the romanisation gave lots of descriptions as "Russian Roulette for Kids" but it seems that it should be available in Japan since it's a Japanese product.

It's tough to read the smaller print on the box, though, so I can't tell a whole lot about it.

Russian Roulette for Kids?! That's sure teaching them kinda young, don't you think? What is this world coming to??

The thing is that Japanese don't see guns nearly as much as westerners do. A Japanese seeing a gun in real life is nearly as likely as seeing a yeti. As far as I know, it's still not legal to carry knives on the street. (Yes, you can buy knives and take them home.)

That just seems odd. Like in the same oddness league as candy cigarettes for kids....

Now that you mention it when one fo our foreign exchange students came over to the U.S. and saw the "collection" of guns we had in our basement he just about flipped.

And when i went over there this summer he was surprised when i pulled out my pocket knife to cut up an apple when we were walking through the park. He did not tell me to put it away but if the whole "no knife" thing is true i wish he would have said soemthing.

Pretty sad I should say. :(

Not sure that suicide is a proper playtime activity for kids. :(

What's wrong with candy cigarettes? It beat having real cigarettes. Tasted better, too. :)

OH man! I remember that picture! I even made it my avatar nearly 2 years ago on the penny-arcade forums! WOW!!!

I am not saying its old, or anything....
