Jason Snell at Macworld really likes 3D Touch

Some first impressions from Jason Snell on 3D Touch. From his experience it sounds like it's been implemented really well. I trust he's being objective as I don't consider him a "fanboy" or overly pro-Apple like, say, Rene Ritchie. This is probably what I'm most looking forward to with the new phone.

It sounds so promising. Now if only we could know in advance if the Spigen tempered glass screen protector I have on order really works well with 3-D Touch.

Seems to me like 3-D Touch will revolutionize the interface experience if the reports of minimal/no accidental activation. Bigger deal than what's being anticipated.

If his assessment is accurate then all the fretting by Apple bloggers and podcasters was all for not. Sometimes the powers that be at Apple are smarter than we give them credit for.

Based on history, the Tuesday or Wednesday before the iPhone is released in the US.

Touch ID and 3D Touch.... two improvements with staying power. When they add hardware changes to support a feature, I cannot recall one being short-sighted or not worth the price of admission.
Gyros, Facetime camera, retina display, touch id, 3d touch. Any others?
