I was going to clear my Java cache earlier today ... and noticed that Java Preferences cannot be found in my Utilities folder. In fact, I cannot find it anywhere. Is it possible that I deleted it? Any suggestions on what to do?

Did you check your System Preferences' "other" preference panes, the ones at the bottom of the window?

Pathname to it, at least what Oracle ships:

/Library/PreferencePanes/JavaControlPanel.prefPane

Any thoughts? I mean is it possible I deleted it? And if so, what should I do?

Looks like it worked as I can now see it in System Preferences.

However, how do I clear my cache?

I don't have Java installed, so don't recall the exact tab, but if you open that pref pane and look around in the settings there I know there is what that deletes all the cache.

From memory, I think it was in advanced. I believe there was a setting to control the size of the cache and another there to delete the cache.

Found it!

Under General > Temporary File Settings ...

Gives you the ability to change size or to Delete Files. Thanks for your help guys!
