Java update wont install.

Last night i tryed to install the new Java update in software update, it downloaded fine and i was asked to reboot it was then verififing the install or something but then it came up that it cant be install and the only option i had was to restart. Why is this ?

in the update it says to quit all browsers. do this

this happened for me too. i quit all open apps besides software update and it worked then
