Javascript turned off or Old version of Flash?

Hi MR

Today, all of a sudden, I wasn't able to view videos. It would say missing plugin, then i would DL the Flash plugin. However, the installation would fail.

I went to youtube, and it said that either i have my javascript off, or i have an old version of the flash player.

This is so all of a sudden! I was on youtube last night! Why can I not dl the flash plugin? Is there something wrong with the javascript? I checked the preferences under Firefox, and it has the jacascript box checked off.

any answers?
