why does javascript work on some website and not others but it works fine if i turn it off , but then i can't watch youtube

i have trashed one account on my macbook and made a new one , but it still happens, i have taken out all the safari extensions and flash players ...

The short version is some sites require Javascript turned on to operate and others don't. What are you concerned about that you have it turned off?

Ah I see... yes some sites abuse JS and use it to serve popup ads and such. I use and adblocker extension here that seems to greatly reduce those. You can also use a JS blocker extension like this to only allow JS to run on sites you approve.
