I'm sorry if this has been asked but I cant find the answer anywhere even though I'm sure someone has asked it before.

If I jailbreak 1.1.3, will I still have the wobbly icons? And, I restore my iPod, will the wobbly icons stay? How bout if I downgrade, then upgrade back to 1.1.3? How does Apple know if my iPod is v2 or not? haha sorry for all the questions.

Yep, I have a jailbroken 1.1.3 Touch and it does indeed have wobbly icons :)

I also somehow got the $20 apps package when I jailbroke to 1.1.3. I had it when I bought the 32GB Touch from Costco, so maybe it remembers that I had them and gave them back to me. I dunno, I've heard people actually lose theirs when they jailbreak.

Yes, it does remember. iTunes stores a little nugget somewhere that tells it whether or not your iPod Touch had the January update. If you ever restore to 1.1.3/1.1.4, it will give you the apps when you sync. You WON'T have the apps if you restore to 1.1.2 or lower.
