JB 2g iPhone does not sync

Hi all,

I recently JB'ed my iPhone 2G with the 3.1.3 firmware using Pwnage Tool.
I was able to sync it with iTunes to transfer music and apps etc.

But recently, when I plug it to my mac, it charges thru the cable but iTunes does not show my iPhone.

I think messed something up in Cydia or SBSettings/Springboard (I am new to all this)

Does anyone have a similar problem or a solution to such a problem?
Any links to any forums or topics would be appreciated.

The problem can range from simple to extremely complex.

To ask the obvious, did you reboot both the phone and the computer? Sometimes this can get it resyncing.

If that doesn't work, I have had to completely reinstall iTunes. You can try just downloading the most recent version from the Apple download page and installing over it. If not, you might have to uninstall completely and then reinstall. This can be a tough process, especially on a Mac since it is integrated pretty tightly.
