iPhone developer and hacker Nadeem97 has released PwnageTool bundles which can jailbreak iPhone 4 and 3GS untethered on iOS 4.2.1, in the process preserves the old 01.59.00 baseband for iPhone 4 and 05.14.04 baseband for iPhone 3GS so that you can unlock with the existing version of Ultrasn0w.
Interesting stuff.
Hoping for The Dev Team to update pwnage to create custom ipsw's for 3G, 3GS and i4 while preserving the baseband and offering an untethered JB.
 
It's amusing to see all these unofficial greenpois0n sites popping up to cash in on the developers' name. .us and .biz have both been spammed here now. How do you people even find these sites?
 
In the Read Me for the Nadeem bundle it states:

"DO NOT TICK THE ACTIVATE IPHONE OPTION WHILE MAKING THE IPSW IN PWNAGETOOL. This bundle supports legit activation only (too lazy to make the patch)."

I have a JB'd and unlocked 3GS running iOS 4... what does 'legit activation' mean in this context? I'm running on a non-standard SIM in the UK. Would I need to borrow a legit SIM to activate, then slip my regular SIM back in?
