JB and Unlock for 3GS-> FW 3.1.3 and BB 5.12

I am running the FW 3.1.3 with the BB5.12 on my 3GS. I want to jailbreak and unlock it. Due to all the news and different tools I am confused. What should I do? JB it with SPIRIT and then unlock it with ultrasnow? Or is there a better way that might even allow me to run iOS4 with the pwnage tool?

I'd say just keep 3.1.3 and JB it with spirit, unlock with ultrasnow. Unless you have 3.1.2 SHSH saved, you can't downgrade to use a custom iOS4 IPSW.

Edit: This whole Firmware, BB thing is just a huge mess!

Not unless your on 3.1.2 on bought your 3GS the first three months it was out
