well if there was someway to get the ipad to host a ad-hoc network and then get the proxy settings via a URL or maybe even put into the ipad, maybe at least safari could run. i haven't found much through Google.

I messed around tonight with MiWy on iPad and HandyLight on iPhone. I felt like i almost got it working, as MiWy created a Network from the iPad and the iPhone was connected. I'm not sure if the proxy was set up properly. Maybe if i could host the proxy info in a URL? how would i go about doing this? Are my efforts futile as the iPad is trying to feed a non existent connection to the iPhone? I know a jailbreak could be released in a couple of days but this is kinda fun and feels more legit than just JB from iPhone and using pda net or miwy.

I also would love to see this solution happen....

I have a sprint overdrive, but if I can get the ipad to tehter to the ip4, it would be one less thing I would carry around.
