JB iPhone 3GS with Absinthe 2.0.2 and cant restore from backup

Friday the Jailbreak didn't work at all for me. I wiped my phone, tried to use 2.0.2 which failed and after I just restored from my back up; same steps on greenpois0n.com. Today I see that it jumped to 2.0.2 so I figured some bug fixes, so I do the same thing again, wipe phone, jb which this time works and then restore from back up, but this time it just dumped all my apps on my springboard, restored none of my setting or contacts, but cydia is still there. I'm about ready to break down in tears.

Any suggestions that I might be able to have my pie and eat it too, JB and get my settings/contacts/arranged springboard back?

already gave up. Just syncing my apps and music, just gonna have to reorganize. It is actually JB and that is what matters.

Look, I give up and it restores from back up, great...now where did all my darn apps go, like Cydia, Phone and most importantly Settings?!?
