Hi,

I wanted to know from my fellow JB's, i'm currently on 7.0.4 on my iPhone 5S JB and thought about updating to re-jailbreak. But I want to know if its more stable?

Cause one thing that bugs me currently with my JB is the respring that happens from time to time when I open my camera app.

I wanted to know if this still happens on 7.1.2 JB also? Cause I know its a problem with my current JB.

Your re-spring is likely from an installed tweak not plating nice, not for the jailbreak itself.
With that said, what are you waiting for ;) imo

wait a week or 2 for all your tweaks to be updated and optimized for 7.1.2. then it will be running a lot more smoothly.

Yes much much better. I was on 7.0.4 for awhile and dealt with the random app crashes/resprings and mainly safari just constantly reloading. I am now on 7.1.2 and haven't had any of those issues anymore.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I've updated to 7.1.2 and jailbroken with Pangu.

I can confirm its FAR smoother than before im really shocked. Im contemplating updating my iPad air which is on 7.04 JB because its got a great setup and its running smoothly with no crashing/resprings at all.

I've been jailbroken on 7.1.2 for a couple days now and not a single respring. Under 7.0.6, I would respring a couple times a week when opening the Gmail app...but I blamed the Gmail app. So far so good.

Of course I don't have Intelliscreen or Gridlock installed yet...waiting for them to be updated for 7.1.2. So, I'm not yet at my pre-7.1.2 configuration.

Same with my experience, I am with 4s. Much smoother, especially during call connect/disconnect and bluetooth/wifi connect/disconnect.

The only problem is the battery drain. It seems it's slightly draining faster than 7.0.4.

Really, do that! 7.1.2 is so much better on the iPad air. No crashes or tabs reloading that often, it's definitely worth it

I've read the Pangu JB on 7.1.2 causes occasional animation glitches, any truth to that?

I'm JB on 6.1.2 and debating going to JB 7.1.2. (I have to have Intelliscreen or LockInfo)

Not that I've seen, just some tweak incompatibilities, nothing else yet.

Thats good to hear. I'm also slightly nervous about updating to 7.1.2 and the JB not working.

Does backup/restore cause any performance issues, or should I start and stay fresh?

Any way to restore text messages without a full backup/restore?

So much faster, I can't believe I lived with ios 7.0.4!!!! My phone now makes me pancakes in bed:)

But if really, I was jailbroken on 7.0.4 and updated to 7.1.1 and jailbroken with pangu, I noticed that the actual os is faster like safari and just scrolling and animations. But my jailbreak tweaks were more stable on ios 7.0.4, now I get cracked and resprings on a lot of my tweaks like uicolors and cccontrols.

If I were you I would give it a couple more weeks for all your tweaks to be upgraded

I always start fresh. Just my OCD kicking in.
