I used 12.1.0.71. Window 7, 32 bit and Taig 2.2.0.

Airplane mode. Ran as Admin. iTunes was open. Spent all day trying to jailbreak it and it worked on the second try with this version of iTunes.

YMMV.

Just to confirm, 32bit version of Windows 7, or 32bit version of iTunes?

I ask, because I tried the latest 64bit iTunes (clean uninstall and install), and TaiG 2.2.0 on two different 64bit Windows 7 Enterprise machines, and both failed with error -1101 on my iPhone 4S. iTunes 12.0.1.26 and iOS 8.3 worked successfully in jailbreaking that same 4S.

Going to try 2.2.1 later.

Well…the computer I used is 32 bit period. So, 32 bit iTunes.

I was able to use the 12.2 64-bit iTunes on Windows 8, but I had to download an extra pair of drivers. iPhone 6 here.

I had to downgrade iTunes from 12.1 (or whatever it was) to 12.0.1 As it couldnt find the iPhone.
Running Win7 64bit with 64bit 12.0.1 iTunes

Worked first go after that..
Make sure you backup
Restore your iPhone (as a new phone (if you JB 8.3))
Sync your apps
Restore from backup

I tried on 64bit Windows and kept getting stuck at 20% or I received an error message. I even tried installing the drivers but the installation kept getting stuck before it finalized.

Finally, I downgraded to 12.01 with TaiG 2.2.1 and it worked to perfection in minutes. Here's a proper tutorial if you need to downgrade:
