JBL Control 2P vs M-Audio AV40... Help me choose!!

Hi Everyone

I am looking for some powered speakers for my macbook pro.

I have been offered some JBL Control 2P's for £125 (think they retail for about £200) from a friend.

But After finding not so many reviews on them I assumed they weren't that popular, I also found the M-Audio AV40 which seem to be very popular and run at around £99. with plenty of glowing reviews.

Can anyone give me any advice? It'd be much appreciated.

Does nobody have any experience with these?

I have just managed to get a loan of the jbl's they seem ok, to be honest a little let down - definately not what i'd spend £200+ on but being offered at £125 i'm not sure!

M-Audio AV40 - Can I go wrong?

Also is the MK2 version of them to be looked out for?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Ok just ordered M-Audio AV40 mk2 for £99 from ebay, currently borrowing the JBL's will do a comparison when they arrive.

Went for the AV 40's, gave back the JBLs.

Awesome sounding speakers, look really nice as well. Highly Recommended!
