You desire the aluminum-colored ones over the white ones. Others probably do as well. THAT is why.

I don't recall my black ones being priced differently.

according to the JBL site, they are the same price (black, aluminium, white). Where are you getting the prices from?

On Amazon...You can get the White ones for $38 and the aluminum ones cost $100...
