JBroken and Unlocked 3GS Upgrade to iOS 5

I have an unlocked and Jailbroken iPhone 3GS with
FW: 4.1
Baseband: 06.15.00
Would I be able to upgrade my iphone to iOS 5 or any other FW?
Is it still going to be unlocked after the update?

6.15 baseband requires cooked software ievredsn0w or sn0wbreeze tethered JJ should be ready almost right away. There are several exploit they are hoping to use on a untethered version that should be out very soon. I.m waiting for that on my I4

are you saying that its still gonna be unlocked when ill do the upgrade?

You can't update firmware without redsn0wor Sn0wbreeze. iTunes will see the 6'15 baseband and crash.

I updated my 3Gs and iTunes didn't crash BUT it wont pick up signal. PLEASE HELP. It was on 6.15.00 as well.

Would you elaborate more on this? What happen after you update? which carrier are you on? what did you try which tell you it has no signal?

I updated my 3GS to ios 5 and unlocked it yesterday. I used this tutorial.

The only problem I encountered is that I had to run the jailbreak twice because the first time cydia did not install.
