Jdownloader keeps crashing

I use Jdownloader to download from youtube and uploaded.net, but as of today the damn thing keeps crashing on me
also it keeps signing me out of my account

anyway i am really getting fed up with the damn thing and i was wondering what other program i could use, so does anyone have any ideas?

the OSX i am using is Snow Leopard 10.6.8

Speed Download is another option - http://www.yazsoft.com/products/speed-download/

It doesn't have all the features of Jdownloader but it also works far more smoothly. Try it out.

There are a lot of reports of same on the JD message boards with the latest auto-installed updates; only options seem to be (1) restore old version from Time Machine, though autoupdating will quickly screw this, (2) wait for it to be fixed.

Help with jdownloader

I have just recently started using mac and the equivalent of IDM is jdownloader.
I have some questions about using it-
1.Can grab downloads like IDM. I mean you click on the download button on the webpage and IDM takes over the download. Can it be done in jdownloader?
2. How do i download from websites that require a verification of not being a bot( where u enter the jumbled words...)
