Hi All,
Just got my 13" i7 and I'm noticing pretty jerky scrolling across the board. Safari, Firefox, Mail, it's just not smooth at all. Anyone else seeing that?

I found scrolling on the 11" pretty juddery. Publishing documents in word for example didn't move very smoothly. 13" has been fine with the exception of launchpad, which occasionally gets stuck.

Setting the "Show Scrollbars" to "Always" in System Prefs, General certainly improved scrolling for me.

I don't think it was the sleep issue. I think it had something to do with my migration from my old air. Really have no idea why, but after a bunch of weirdnesses, (scrolling included) I decided to wipe it and start fresh last night. This is a clean install and I'll be manually (what a pain!) moving my data over, but so far so good, no weirdnesses at all and scrolling is great so far, even after sleeping.

Anything CPU intensive running in the background can affect it. Random indexing after I've installed an app for example results in slow animations.

Yes. I am.

Just to help continue to try to diagnose this problem...

In Google Chrome Canary this page... https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3225131?start=0&tstart=50 scrolls completely smoothly. No issues whatsoever. While, in the same browser, just in another tab, this page... https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1202967/ exhibits anything but smooth scrolling.

Same behaviour exhibited in Safari.
In Google Chrome (non Canary version) both pages were jerky.
In Firefox both pages were smooth. (I guess I'm switching to Firefox 5.0.1 for now)

This is on a 2011 11" MBA Ultimate. All apps installed clean; no migration assistant nor time machine restore.
