Was at the RISD museum this past weekend and saw an exhibit by Jesse Burke.

A collection of photos he's taken of his daughter in outdoor/natural settings. The exhibit at RISD was interesting on many levels, but something that made me smile was that each piece was titled with a Johnny Cash song title. Odd, but it worked as a theme. Very interesting images and he has a book on Amazon.

While he is a local artist, I don't know him and am just sharing this as a recent discovery that others might find interesting.

Spent a few hours looking at his portfolio. A strange amount of roadkill pictures but there is a strange haunting feeling about some of his images. Really quite compelling. I like them alot.
