In a monumental fit of stupidity, I decided to watch a movie on my 32 gig iPod touch 2g in the bathtub, and dropped it during my soak.

After reading a thread or two on the subject, I followed the advice of turning it off immediately, and letting it sit a day or two in a baggie full of dry rice to let it absorb all of the moisture.

Plugged it into the desktop, and it came on immediately, and started charging! It took a charge, is holding it, and everything works!

My iPod has returned from the dead! Thanks, MacRumors!

why were you playing with your ipod in the bathtub?

Next time put it in one of those waterproof diving packets, or even a ziploc bag.

Or better yet, don't watch your iPod in the tub :)
