I was looking at job qualifications for software developers and in the listing they say " Knowledge of Linux/Unix " What do they mean by this? Where would i go to learn this?

Means you know how to use those systems the way you can use your windows/osx machine. You can login, launch software, find stuff, etc.

I would guess.

Obviously you aren't a software developer yet. ;) If you were, you'd know both terms, and know they're operating systems. Is it simply something you're interested in?
