Hi,

Just wanted to write a quick post to say I finally made the leap from windows to mac on saturday when I bought a 27" iMac and I couldn't be happier.

I bought it from John Lewis to take advantage of their extra years warranty and they even price matched apple's student discount giving me 12% off, I can't praise the level of service highly enough. Would recommend purchasing from them to anybody.

Looking forward to many happy stable crash free years with my mac lol

Yep, JL are decent Apple retailers. I bought my MacBook there and it developed a screen fault about 18 months later. Replaced the screen with no fuss.

Enjoy your Mac.

Good choice but I would still get direct from Apple if I could get educational discount through someone. Free 3 year warranty as opposed to John Lewis 2 year.

The other benefit is that Apple are currently offering £65 worth of App Store credit when purchasing a Mac through the educational discount scheme.
