Joining a domain with network access?

I have Mac mini server 10.9.1 Server.app 3.0.2

I can't understand whether is possible when join the domain to get access to the server network?I mean when connected to the domain to get access to the MySQL server and web server?I'd like to replace VPN with domain joining.

Sub question: My server is directly connected to the internet.On it's Ethernet port is a public IP and 10.0.0.1 as VLAN because of the VPN.I'm using IceFloor for firewall GUI.I can't understand how this two IP address communicates each other.
Is it as rooter, the traffic reach the public ip and then it send the traffic to the 10.0.0.1...?
