Hey guys! In order to save battery life, and take my movie collection to college with me, I've decided to rip a bunch of DVDs to AVI.
First, I got the trial copy of RipIt, and it produced a file comparable with DVD Player. I dragged this directly to it's sister app, Evom, which churned out VTS_01_1.AVI through VTS_01_7.AVI, plus all the menus, etc.
I did some Googling and found D-Vision 3, which had a feature for AVI merging. I tried both modes, avimerge and mencoder, and both had the same result: The first AVI would have synchronized audio and video, but all subsequent ones would get desynched, further and further.
Basically, I'm asking this: How do you guys rip your DVDs?
