Hi, I am a paying subscriber to Jott services. Jott has a great iPhone app that lets you jott notes etc, but the main reason I paid for jott was the ability to speak a calendar event, and have it magically appear in my iCal. This was using Jott Links hooked up with google calendar.
The people who make dragon dictation bought out Jott and are now shutting their service down. Unfortunately, I don't know of an alternative service that will create a calendar event just by my voice.
I used this service daily, and I must find a replacement. Any thoughts?

Example of use: talking on the phone with a client in the car, and after the call hitting the jott app and saying "meet with bill at 3:00 on tuesday". Look at my calendar later and there is a 3:00 apptmnt called "Meet with Bill" for tuesday.
Thanks!

Just doing some research of my own, I've found a couple of alternatives but nothing that quite fits the bill.

Dragon Dictation - Lets you speak and turns what you say into text. Then you can copy that text and paste it where you want it. Probably not usable really while driving.

ReQall - a Jott like service, testing out their free vs. paid service, I'll post back when this conversation gets going. A little concerned by the low app store rating.

Dial2Do - seems like a good service, but they don't have an iPhone app, just blackberry and android.

Well, I'll keep you guys posted if I learn anything. Jott Links had so many awesome interfaces, I wonder why they dropped it. I used with facebook, twitter, Toodledo and other services in addition to Google Calendar. Wish me luck

ReQall

Well, after using ReQall, I can say its the best replacement I have found yet. Seems to do the trick, though syncing to google calendar does take a while, it DOES eventually make it on my calendar. I am able to speak the event into my phone, and it shows up later in my iCal with reminders and all. This will do.

Are you still using Reqall? I am looking for something to create quick notes while driving, so it needs to be as simple as possible. The fewer things I need to tap the better. Dragon seems to be the best, except you can't just automatically create a note, the copy and paste just ruins it.
