So my new Mini is racking up air miles. When will it make it to London?

Whenever I order stuff from Apple online here (Thailand store), it ships out of Singapore (where the store operates from)... and 9/10 times, the products are shipped to Shenzhen, then to Bangkok..

I ordered my new Mac Mini directly from Apple on Sunday the 11th (November).
It shipped from Shenzhen, China, the next day on Monday the 12th.
It arrived in Anchorage, Alaska, the next day Tuesday the 13th (5,000 miles).
It arrived at my mail forwarder in Miami, Florida, the next day Wednesday the 14th (4,000 miles).
It arrived at my mail forwarder/customs in my Central American country the next day Thursday the 15th (1,000+/- miles).
It arrived at my mail forwarder in my village on Thursday the 22nd (100+/- miles) ..... it took 7 days!!!!!

For the last leg, assuming they rode the donkey 12 hours per day, they averaged over 1 MPH.

I ordered mine from B&H on 6/3 and it was delivered on 6/4!
Sorry, I know we're spoiled here in the US...

I'm actually an American who is retired here in Central America and yes, I sorely miss the benefit of next day home delivery! However, the quality of life here far outweighs many of the benefits that the US affords. I usually have friends "mule" big ticket items down here but I was very impatient.

And for the record, one of the issues that held up my Mac was that the customs folks thought the Mini was a wireless access point and not a computer as indicated on the invoice.

EDIT - they've sent it 100 miles north to Tamworth. What a waste.

So an update - it was just 20 miles away and then left there so why not with me now? Think they've put it in a warehouse and will deliver on Monday....

I ordered mine from B&H on 6/3 and it was delivered on 6/4!

LOL, I was thinking the same thing. Ordered a 2014 2.8ghz Mini that B&H was blowing out for $529 (with free shipping) about 5:00PM on Wednesday. Fedex dropped it off at noon on Thursday.

Should add though mine's BTO - could have gone to any Apple store in London and bought a stock model same day or next day delivery.

That's the great thing about B&H. They stock BTO models. Mines the i7/8GB/512GB
Well, it's out of stock now, since the had it $100 off all week.
