After tinkering with Photos and struggling to get its My Photo stream working in any reasonably possible way on my desktop, I just by occasion used iPhoto on MBA. What a joy was it to use this app, with its nice, clear structure, possibility of using third party app for editing (i have Pixelmator for this). Photos is really, really cra**y thing. Worse than Picasa, iPhotos, anything i tried for digital photos.
