So I have a email at work on my pc with some jpg's attached, I forwarded it to my home email and retrieved the email on my Mac via Mac:Office 2011. The attachments came over as .dat

How do I view them?

Did you get a winmail.dat file, instead of an email? This is known to happen with Outlook sending mail to other clients, because it uses an oddball version of RTF that most other clients don't understand. The best fix is to disable the offending option in Outlook.

Nope that didn't help. On my pc I emailed myself a jpg image file, on my mac (via office outlook 2011) it comes over as winmail.dat. I'm trying to figure out HOW to view the image as it should appear.
