Hi everyone,
I am looking into off-site archiving/storage solutions for my digital images - not a backup solution.
My images are (right now) backed-up to an external drive using Time Machine. However, there is always the possibility of site failure (building burns down, everything is stolen etc.) and the situation will only be worse if the images are gone as well.
So what I need is a manually triggered way of moving new/changed images off-site. Currently I am using ChronoSync to my iPod which I carry around most of the time. Other alternatives such as burning to DVDs and store them with friends/parents/bank vault just dont work for me.
Jungle Disk & ChronoSync seem to be the way to move forward but if any of you guys want to recommend a different approach go for it. I looked into Mozy but for my purposes I want complete manual control (automatic is done via Time Machine) over the syncing and no additional programs running when I am not using the box.
Any recommendations welcome, cheers,
Dembo
