I get a ton of junk mail. Usually, Mail does a good job of flagging them and they usually show up orange but I still get alerted when I get new junk mail. It's very annoying because in a few hours, I usually get like 10-20 new mails only to find out that they're all junk. How can I setup a junk mail bin so that I won't get alerted anymore when new junk mail arrives?

Mail Preferences --> Junk Mail.

You'll want to make sure Automatic mode is turned on so that it will stealthily shuffle it off to your Junk folder.

Are your junk mail settings like this?

Ah, I'm still on Tiger and didn't realize they had removed the "Automatic" subtitle from the "Move it to the Junk mailbox" option. :eek:

Are there advantages to remaining on Tiger, instead of upgrading to Leopard? Just curious.

Not really. I usually wait a bit before upgrading to be sure that none of the apps I need are broken by the new version, but at this point it's just laziness and a lack of any compelling features for me. I'll get around to it at some point. :D
