I get a quick shot if you help tell my friend why this won't work, I will owe you thanks and if you are in San diego a drink to help me. Thanks in advance LOL.

First, I can't see how anyone who insists on sticking "LOL" in a thread title not once but TWICE would even be able to understand the inner workings of a cell phone. If that does happen to be false then if you bet someone you could get the iPhone to work on Verizon then the bet was lost before you could even try.

Ok guys, it's not ***IMPOSSIBLE***, if you get someone really techy who can take the iPhone apart and replace all the GSM hardware for CDMA, then there you go. There definitely is no software unlocking solution, that is impossible for sure, like trying to stick a DVD in a VCR...

No.

While it is not IMPOSSIBLE, it would require significant alterations to both the hardware AND software. If it could have been done feasibly, it probably would have been by now.

And completely change the software... entirely. No more iPhone OS.

Terrible analogy. You're still talking about hardware.

...and then submit it to the FCC for evaluation, generate an MEID number for it, and subsequently submit it to Verizon for 6-8 weeks of testing.
