Sorry if this isn't the right category to post in but I just updated to Mavericks a couple days ago so I thought it might fit.

I got a pop up thing telling me to upgrade java (to java 7 update 45 or something like that), I clicked yes and it started to download. It finished downloading and then an installer came up, and I decided to cancel the update and do it later so I pressed the "go back" button on the installer and then closed the installer. A little notification popup window came up saying that the new version of Java had been successfully installed. I thought this was strange since I had closed the installer should I be concerned about any malware?

Also when I turned on my mac this morning there was a new "Other" or "Other user" or something option at the login screen. It used to be only me and guest so I thought this was also strange. (I installed OSX server last night, I wasn't sure if maybe that is related?)

If anyone can offer insight it is appreciated!!

Thanks
