Just a question about Updating my mac

Not sure which part of the forums I was supposed to post this question but I will try here....

Just a question and I know no one has asked this one but if I were to update my mac from 10.7.2 to a newer version will my old version of iTunes delete my music when its updating to a newer version?

The version of my iTunes is 10.5.2 (11). Its a old version and I wanted to know since its missing so many updates if I update it to the version it says 11.0.3 since its missing some updates will it remove my music.....

No, updating iTunes or the OS will not delete your music!

In any case, you have a backup in case something does get accidentally deleted, don't you?

Was going to buy an external hard drive but didn't have enough money but just wanted to know if my music would get deleted lets hope not will be updating!

all your music that you have on iTunes would be able to download again at no extra cost same with apps,films,tv series, so even if you lost it all some of it could be recovered from itunes
