Can jailbreak damage the chip inside your iphone 4?
I discovered a jerkeyness and lag while playing games after being jailbroken. I restored the phone to factory setting and it is still lagging.
So that why I wonder if the A4 chip had been damaged

jailbreaking doesn't hurt any of the chips or other hardware in your phone. It may be slow or "jerky" because of other running processes. All jailbreaking does is allow complete access to the "root" folder in your iOS software

As for fixing the jerkiness, I'll try to get back to you on that

I think the jerkiness and lag was not cause by the jailbreak, I think it was already lagging when I first got the phone.
