saw the steampunk keyboard and lcd mod on boingboing..awesome stuff.

the model m steampunk keyboard is the best. i'm so tempted to do something like that, but finding a model m in good condition is not cheap or easy

Thats pretty cool alright, gotta get me one of those keyboards but by the sounds of things it ain't easy!

Can anyone remember a company who used to buy Macs overclock them and such, then have custom cases for them.

They had a very distinctive case, think streamlined art deco mixed with 1950s microphone.

Definitely a well-executed mod. I'm still a little hazy on what's started this steampunk stuff, but the steampunk mods I've seen have all been VERY cool.

Impressive. Let's hope they don't decide to change the decor at some point in the future or the PC is going to look slightly out of place. :D

When I hear about "Mods" I think transformers and LEDs... so this mod is a very refreshing departure from the usual. I love the 19th century look.

It's nice looking, but it also looks like it belongs in a bathroom.

And I must admit I thought it would be "a bathroom computer" before I actually read the article and looked at all the pics.

I'm not crazy about the base of the monitor, but a Steampunk mod is a VERY cool idea. LOVE the keyboard, and the levers below the monitor are genius. Great work!!

Is the sub-woofer encased in a ming vase? A la 20th Anniversary Mac?
