Just acquired a 2010 iMac but should I take to genius bar?

Its 1 year warranty is almost up and it has the hard drive noise which others have reported to sound like a stomach rumbling. It is quite distracting. Is it worth taking in before the warranty expires? The previous owner hasn't used it much at all so I am wondering if the sound might go once it has been worn in?

27" 1TB by the way.

If you are under warranty, by all means get it checked out. And if you plan on keeping it, you may wish to think about extending warranty with AppleCare.
