Ok...

1. Purchased first iPhone summer of 2007...

2. Purchased 3G in December of 2008 at early upgrade price

3. Skipped the 3GS; Eligible for early upgrade in May 2010

4. When I do *639#, I get, "As a valued customer, we can off you an upgrade with a new 2-yer commitment and waive the $18 upgrade fee."

This sounds like a new variation on the early upgrade because I keep reading here about the $18 upgrade fee applied to people's accounts.

You should be able to get the new iphone with 199/299 pricing.

Oh yeah...I figured that. I just posted this with regard to that $18 upgrade fee.

I wasn't even aware that there was an $18 fee (guess I missed that in the fine print!) until people started posting it on here, but, obviously, they will waive the fee.

That $299 black 32GB 4G is calling my name!

Nope, that's the normal full upgrade. Please look over our upgrade guide.
