Hey,

I just bought a 2011 iMac today and it's running Snow Leopard 10.6.6? I also noticed the keyboard isn't the newer one with the Lion buttons for Launchpad, etc., on it? I thought they'd all be updated by now?

I don't care about Lion since I already own it but I do care about the keyboard. Which is kind of a bit wonky (unlike my previous Apple Wireless Keyboard), anyway. Mmm, has anyone else experienced this?

Yes... they're going to sell you the old stock with the old keyboards until they run out...

I figured they'd be all updated by now. I'll just have the keyboard replaced, as it is wonky, and ask for one of the new keyboards as a replacement.

Thank goodness!

I'm looking forward to Snow Leopard. I don't want any of the problems that come with Lion when I get my just-ordered iMac! :D :D :D

Hah, well hopefully you get one with Snow Leopard on it. I've not had any problems with Lion on any of my machines. Hopefully this one runs smoothly as well!

I just bought a iMac 2011 27inch 2.7ghz 3 days ago-I didn't even know about this keyboard-can we exchange for the new one you think..

It Should Ship

With the new one, mine did....Maybe they have a stock issue? either way, it's part of Lion, so yes the should exchange them.

As far as how useable the key's are well.....I don't use mine that often, but that isn't the point.

& its the same-dang.

I got SL on my July 27" with the new keyboard and free upgrade to Lion.

I'd ask, Apple will sort you out.
Ah, great thanks.

It'd be likely.

I just realised I can set Launchpad to launch when I hit F4 anyway, so it's not that big of a deal. I'll probably see if I can get them to replace it with one of the new ones anyway, since it's wonky. My last Apple wireless keyboard was better.
