Just wanted to share my delight. Went to HMV today, prepared to part with £165 for an iPod Touch 8Gb 2G... and they had ONE, iPod Touch 16Gb 1G in stock... FOR £99!!!.

I just couldn't stop smiling - WHAT a bargain!!. I'm getting into app development, so this cheap buy has enabled me to save more towards an ADC membership :D.

Thanks, HMV.

Well done, but you realise that the 1st Gen doesn't support all the new features of 3.0. Bluetooth for example.
Still a bloody good deal though. If all else fails you could sell it for a tidy profit!

I got a better deal.

I got a gently used (read: used, but no scratches anywhere) 32GB 2nd gen for $250 USD. It came with the cord, headphones, and one of the rubber case things. :D

I would of waited until september and boght the 3rd gen one. Thats what I am doing to upgrade my 1st gen since I want the bluetooth so I could use my bt headphones without the big adapter.

You miss the point - it was cheap!. Also, it's not Sept yet!!
