iPod touch Just bought a 16GB iPod Touch today

Yup. I bought it today mainly to mitigate my iPhone fever and I think this thing will just do that.

Now, how do I know how much battery is left other than looking at that tiny battery icon in the upper right corner? Do I need an app?

uhh, the touch will give u a warning thing when ur battery reaches 20% left but if u want percentages, there is gonna have to be some plist changes and such requires jailbreaking.
