Hi there!
I'm new to this forum, and I wanted to ask a few questions...
I've just bought a new G5 Powermac!
- specs are:
2GHz PowerMac G5 Dual Processor
4Gb Ram
2 x 160GB SATA Seagate Hard Disk
ATI Radeon 128Mb Graphics Card
Mac OS X 10.5 leopard
iLife '08
Dual Layer DVD/RW
Dual monitor inputs
USB 2.0
Firewire 800 Mb/Sec
I am intending to use it solely for editing video, using FCP 5!
I have already got a Mac Mini, 1.25GHz with 256mb ram and 32mb graphics... It is running FCP4, but I am stepping up to editing professionally which is why I've bought the new system...
I was wondering if I am going to have to do anything to the mac to get it to work properly? Will everything be up to spec for running FCP5? I've checked my mac meets the system requirements, but all it says for graphics is an AGP Quartz Extreme graphics card... Is the one I've got going to be compatible?
If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
