Just bought a MBP! (my first Mac)

2.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 gigs of ram (already have the other sticks at home to upgrade to 4)
200 gb 7200 rpm hard drive
15" Glossy Widescreen Display

there it is, I should be getting it Friday.

I'm pretty much looking for some advice. What should I do first? Any tweaks? Do I need Anti Virus software?

I've been using PCs for years and I've never used a Mac

Congrats! I just got my new MBP yesterday also. Not my first Mac, but still a great new toy . I'm not sure what to tell you to do first, but you don't need Anti-Virus. Still use the usual precautions as far as viruses, but honestly there's not a whole lot to worry about. I'm not so fanboyish to suggest Macs simply don't get viruses, but it's not as issue like it is in the Windows world.
