I just bought a new macbook. should be here any day now. I have a few questions.

should I sign up for the mobile me? is it free? does it come with the notebook?

when i turn it on, should i let the battery life thats there run out, then give it a full charge?

whats a program like Nero for windows, that does the same stuff for mac? does it come with software to burn downloaded movies on to discs?

does it have a dvd ripper?

1. I don't know. That's up to you and what you want from it.
And it doesn't come with the notebook, you have to subscribe to it before using any services MM offers.

2. www.apple.com/batteries

3. Roxio Toast (not free), Burn (free) and Finder Burn Folder.

4. MacTheRipper, RipIt and FairMount

In the future you can use MRoogle, and its little sister Google, to search for the answers, as it has been asked a lot in the last five years or more, therefore many answers exist.
