Guys I just bought an iPad1. 280 bucks. Was this dumb? I need it for work.

Not that interested until work made it necessary...

Still has four months on 1 year warranty, another year of Applecare can be bought.

Everything. iOS 6 won't run on the first generation iPad. You just bought an outdated piece of hardware and if you ask me, you paid too much for it. You can buy a refurbished iPad 2 for only a few bucks more directly from Apple. Even a brand new one costs less than a hundred bucks more than what you paid for that used machine.

Other than that, I still wonder what "work" people actually do on a tablet. In my reality, tablets are toys but not tools and simply cannot be used for real work (which usually includes TYPING and directly connecting to company network resources).
