I've been looking for a TV for sometime now, and was planning on the TH-42PX75U
This was $1439 at Circuit City. But they also had the older TH-42PX60U
for $1199.
While I much preferred the case on the newer model, I could not notice much of a difference in picture quality between the two. I also could not pass on saving almost $300. I didn't buy the $300 3 year protection plan, but hopefully I should be OK without it.
I am truly impressed with the picture quality of the TV. The speakers are decent, and should be fine to hold me over until I can afford a surround sound system. I've only watched DVD's off my PS3, so I can't wait to see how things look in hi def.
