My sisters BF just bought a PC for his business. New PC's don't come with backup disks anymore. The guy at best buy told him that you have to burn the MS OS to a DVD-R...? Uhhhhh how do I do that?

My 2 new dells came with back up disks

Well first, you need a ISO of the OS.
Then, you need to download a ISO burning program (I use CloneCD).

Then, just you know, pick the ISO and pick your DVD Drive

What brand of Computer is it? Some have provided backup/OS backup to disc software. If it does it should have asked to burn backup discs on first run.

It's an HP Laptop. it did not ask to burn a backup disk on first run...

There is a program called HP Recovery Center, that will allow you to burn your Recovery Discs.. a DVD-R is a recordable DVD.

I remember doing this for my HP desktop. Came in handy when my system completely melted down after catching a virus that targeted explorer.exe. ugh. lol. Can't wait for :apple:!
