I thought I'd experiment with Mac and I bought a MacBook (early 2009) model, that has been reformatted etc so it's like new. Loving it so far!

I bought a Magic Mouse as well, it works fine, however I can't scroll with it... I went in to 'Software Update' and there was heaps (I suppose all the updates that have rolled out since Snow Leopard came out?) including this 1GB OS update! (See picture).

Would doing all the updates fix this problem?

Is there any programs that I need straight away? I.E. Anti Virus/Spyware/Firewall/CCleaner?

How can I view what Operating System mine is? I.E. Snow Leopard (I know from when I bought it, it said installed with Snow Leopard) but I just want to know for sure.

If I think of any other questions I'll let you know!

Many thanks!

No need:
