Just bought a used 3G

Hey guys I just bought a used 3G from a friend of mine and I'm wondering how the transition is going to work.

Right now I have an LG Vu on a 2 line ATT family plan. We have the 550 minute plan and each phone has 250 txts ($5 each). I know I'll have to add the iPhone data plan (which is $30?) but do I have to go in and have them do that at an ATT store or can I do that on my own? Also, does that plan include unlimited texting for the iPhone? Will the 3G SIM I have in my Vu work in the iPhone or will I have to get a new one?

Ah too many questions, how bout some answers?

They will give you a new sim. You will receive texts about agreeing to add the iPhone plan. The texts are not covered, you will likely want to invest in the family plan texting program.

You don't need a new sim. Pop in any AT&T sim and it will work.
You can log into your AT&T account online and add the iPhone data to your particular line. The data does not include texts, u can keep your current texting plan if u want.
