Hello,

I searched and couldn't find a straight answer, so my question simply is.

I just picked up a SSD (250gb) hard drive, and it will be here tomorrow. Should I go ahead and install leopard and then install snow leopard over it on friday. or should I just wait to install the SSD on friday and do a clean install on it. Or does it really even matter?

Thanks

i assume u have a 10.5 disk already?
if u do go ahead and install it so when SL comes out u can do the 30 upgrade easily.

That depends if SL will require you to have Leopard installed already.

I would go ahead and install Leo and then on Friday do a full install or upgrade.

Snow Leopard requires you to have Leopard installed already. "Snow Leopard is an upgrade for Leopard users and requires a Mac with an Intel processor." So if you have Tiger you cannot upgrade straight to Snow Leopard. If you have the drive now you might as well start the process so when SL comes out on Friday you have one less step.

Not true. You can upgrade straight to Snow Leopard but you must buy the $129 version and not the $29 version.
